With a degree in carpentry from Marseille, Léa Laborie has worked with wood for four years now.
After studying organ building in Altkirch, Alsace, which she began in 2015, her attraction to wood quickly turned to more traditional work with training in carpentry and fittings.
Sensitive to the issue of waste in the wood industry, in 2019, she decided to begin creating objects from scraps of wood.
She also works with her brother, a tree pruner, and regularly collects wood from construction sites. Most of the wood used in her creations is local and wasn't originally intended for the delicate objects she creates.
