56 days in arles
François Halard travels all over the world and captures the places that inspire him with emotion. His eyes linger and he constructs a singular story based on the houses and studios of artists such as: Rauschenberg, Cy Twombly, Louise Bourgeois, the studios of Giorgio Morandi, Luigi Ghirri, John Richardson, Saul Leiter, Luis Barragan, Casa Malaparte... Places with a history that resonates within the walls and which he takes ownership of to reveal the infinitesimal, the almost invisible that his images, seen through his eyes, make visible.
This time, in the extraordinary year that was 2020, during the spring lockdown, François Halard stayed at home in his private mansion in Arles. During this 56-day period, he photographed the interior of his house, rich in details that testify to his deep attachment to art. François Halard presents 56 daily Polaroids in the book " 56 days in Arles ", published by Libraryman.
