descriptionComposition and care

From object to gesture, Emma Bruschi, a designer and plant stylist, revives forgotten domestic skills with a contemporary twist. Drawing from her rural heritage, she creates everyday objects that are as practical as they are beautiful. This collection features ten rural pieces, each a symbol of folk art, designed to inspire the joy of crafting by hand—a panorama that reflects the rich landscape of French craftsmanship.

In days gone by, villagers worked with wood, wove straw and wicker, mended clothes, spun wool, and baked their own bread… Domestic skills, passed down through generations, nurtured by a deep love for fine workmanship. A graduate of the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD), Emma Bruschi is part of the new generation of designers shaping the French artisan landscape.  With her many talents, this artist spins rye straw grown on her family’s land in Savoie, braids, embroiders, and crochets this rustic natural resource to create jewelry, clothing and harvest-inspired bouquets. She reclaims these everyday objects and gestures to pass on the legacy of these forgotten crafts, as others did before her.
Drawing inspiration from her rural roots, she created ten pieces of folk art, envisioned as a small collection of objects, functional tools, and petite works of art reminiscent of a bygone era. This authentic endeavor is fueled by a quest for meaning and independence, a longing for a slower pace, and the joy of creating by hand.
