Marie-Pacifique Zeltner is inspired by the landscapes, colours and textures of Provence in her creations.

Méditerranée is a limited series that evokes the nostalgia of the 90s and the Provence of her childhood. It features sunburnt colours, faded patterns and outdated graphics. Pieces that tell of the empty hours spent in the pine forest looking for shell fossils or cicada moults, and that echo the long afternoons spent by the sea collecting glass polished by the waves.

For this collection, she works with reduction-fired stoneware. This method of firing, where the oxygen supply is reduced, allows the clay to reveal its most beautiful colour and to obtain glazes with vibrant shades.
