Who are you?
Hello! My name is Pauline de Tarragon, I’m 21 and I am a singer and an illustrator. My favourite things in the world are sleep and dogs. Ever since I was a child I’ve always drawn, everywhere I go and with whatever I can get my hands on. Singing came later, when I was around 16. After taking part in a talent show on French TV, I was contacted by Axel Concato with whom I created my first musical project: Pi Ja Ma. Our EP, Radio Girl, was released last year and our first album will be released next October.
The first thing you do when you wake up?
Usually, the first thing I do is groan, because, as I mentioned before, I really love my sleep. Otherwise, I try to look at the colour of the sky before I look at the colour of my screen.
The last thing you do at night?
Same. I try to let go of my phone, which has become a sort of third arm, in favour of reading a book or listening to a record.
Your most amazing trip - where, when and why?
That’s a difficult question to answer because it would mean choosing one above all the rest. My last trip was to Essaouira, which is incredibly calm, beautiful and relaxing. The vibrant colours of the houses inspired me to fill my travel journal with drawings.
The person, famous or not, you would most like to have dinner with?
I think I'd quite like to have dinner with Jim Carrey. I’d like to ask him questions about life, make jokes and then go back to paint at his place. (Just paint mind, don’t go imagining anything else!)
A superpower you would like to have?
I wish I had the power to swap my life with someone else’s several times a day just to see what it’s like inside other people's heads. Or maybe to be immortal. But that would probably get a bit boring after a while.
How did you come across Sessùn?
I grew up in Avignon where there aren’t as many shops are there are in Paris. I fell in love with Sessùn when I was in high school, thanks to their romantic imagery and mega comfortable fabrics. My mum and I could spend hours trying on boots, sweaters, coats...
A word to describe Sessùn?
I wanted to find another word but I think I’ll go for “Natural" or "Softness". Sessùn clothes are simple and delicate that suit everyone and that you can keep near you, like a favourite teddy, for years to come.
Your favourite piece of clothing or accessory from the current collection?
It's hard to choose but I think it would have to be the Setagaya jumpsuit! I love Sessùn’s jumpsuits. And the Sainte Agnes dress is amazing too. It’s the kind of dress you can wear without a bra, which is so cool:)
Your favourite track to dance to?
Right now, I love dancing to "Why are you screaming?" by Johan Papaconstantino https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghMwRs99Y9Y
Your favourite track to chill out to?
I like to relax listening to Brazilian music such as Elis e Tom - Águas de Março https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXWvzEov1fs
Your own funny little habit?
I like to kiss people I like on the nose. Was that the question? haha.
Merci Pauline !
